Encouraging adoption of and training in OERs through workshops that target individual users and whole institutions

Log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

In this panel, the presenters will discuss their experience running workshops that encourage new users to adopt OERs in their classrooms and provide training in how to use them. In particular, groups from Hope College (Holland, MI) and from Prince George’s Community College (Largo, MD) have run workshops, both virtually and in-person, over the last several years. Some of these workshops have openly invited participants from around the US and from other countries, while others have focused on faculty from a particular institution. The Prince George’s team will also discuss their success building campus-wide support for the LibreTexts OER both at the faculty and administrative levels, and giving workshops to neighboring institutions who are seeking similar success.
